Joint Committee on Regional Collaboration

In August 2016, the executive boards of the Nashville Area MPO and the Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that established a framework for the two organizations to explore ways to enhance coordination among local communities and between regional organizations in Middle Tennessee. The purpose of the Joint Committee is to study options and develop recommendations for improving coordination and decision-making across Middle Tennessee according to a set of shared goals. Members serve on the committee to find opportunites that are mutually beneficial to both organizations and their respective local community. Meeting Frequency: As Needed.

Technical Coordinating Committee

The Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) works alongside MPO staff to develop planning and programming recommendations for the MPO Executive Board. The TCC consists of administrators, planning directors, and transportation engineers from local governments and transportation related agencies.

Meeting Frequency: First Wednesday of Every Month

Freight Advisory Committee

The Freight Advisory Committee (FAC) was established to guide the MPO's freight planning efforts. The primary responsibility of the committee is provide a forum for public and private-sector stakeholders to work through the complexities associated with freight movement to more effectively guide public investment in transportation infrastructure.

Meeting Frequency: As Needed, Usually Quarterly

Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) was established to provide guidance to the MPO on issue related to the non-motorized modes of transportation of transportation. The BPAC is comprised of stakeholders from the local governments, transit agencies, law enforcement, and private non-profits.
