On January 19, 2010 the Nashville Area MPO hosted the first ever regoinal symposium dedicated to offering strategies that our area might employ for locating schools in ways that benefit entire communities.

The symposium was held at the Martin Professional Development Center in Nashville, TN -- an excellent example of adaptive re-use of an older school building.
