David Warm, who has led Kansas City's regional council, MARC, since 1990 gave the keynote presentation during the MPO's annual partnerhship luncheon. MARC is one of the nation's most lauded regional councils, serves as its region’s MPO, conducts regional planning, and provides a range of services to its members, including services related to aging, health care, community development, and homeland security.
David’s remarks helped attendees connect current efforts underway locally to improve regional collaboration by sharing how the governance structure MARC provides elevates the Kansas City region's ability to increase the value of its planning activities, advocacy, and services to its member jurisdictions.
